Capsule CRM is a lightweight and powerful CRM which can be a more cost effective alternative to some of the bigger name CRMs out there. They already have a Zapier integration, but it's missing a few features we think are important. So we built our own custom version.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a custom integration that we built for a client and/or internal use - we’re making the invite link available free for anyone that wants to use it in their own zaps. We offer this integration on an as-is basis, and can't guarantee it is bug free.
Keep in mind Zapier doesn’t offer support on privately made integrations like this and Capsule won't offer support either. If you do have problems, please email email@example.com. Our custom Capsule CRM integration has the following options:
- 'Find contact' & 'Find opportunity'
You can search by custom fields as well as standard fields, and the data returned includes the contact's/opportunities custom fields. Both these things aren't possible with Capsule's standard integration.
- 'Create contact''
You can create an a contact in Capsule with all standard and custom fields. This can also be combined with the "Find contact' step to create a 'Find or Create contact' action.
- 'Update contact' & ' Update opportunity'
Capsule's standard Zapier integration lets you create new contacts and opportunities, but it doesn't let you update them which really limits the scenarios you can potentially automate. Our custom integration lets you update all fields (including custom fields) on a contact or opportunity.
Additionally, when using Capsule's standard integration to create a contact, you're not able to assign an owner (you can on an opportunity). If you want to do that in your zap, just use our integration and add an "Update contact" step right after. You can then set an owner for the contact.
